Client-side tools (most tools)

The majority of tools on ConvertDa — merging, splitting, and rotating PDFs, Base64 encoding/decoding, JSON/XML formatting, and similar utilities — run entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. Your file is read, processed, and downloaded on your own device. It is never transmitted to our servers, and we have no access to its contents.

Server-side tools

A small number of tools require processing that isn't possible in a browser (for example, Ghostscript-based PDF compression, LibreOffice document conversion, or Tesseract OCR). These tools are:

• PPT to PDF
• OCR PDF

For these tools only, your file is uploaded over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our processing server, converted, and made available for you to download. Uploaded files are automatically deleted from our storage within 30 minutes of processing. We do not open, read, or manually inspect the contents of files you upload, and we do not use them for any purpose other than producing your requested output.

What we don't do

We don't sell, share, or use your uploaded files for AI training, advertising, or analytics of any kind. We don't require an account or email address to use any tool.

Analytics

We collect basic, aggregated page-view analytics (which tool pages are visited, approximate location by country, browser type) to understand which tools are useful and to fix bugs. This data is not tied to the contents of any file you process.

Cookies

ConvertDa does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Any cookies set are strictly functional (e.g. remembering a UI preference).
